Letter No. 3

February 2, 2025

Dear DP,

Happy Sunday (or Monday, depending on when you’re reading this!). If you’re a new staffer reading this, welcome! The letter from the pink palace is where I will be posting updates from the week in DP world.

Here are a few announcements and highlights from this Past week…

This week, the DP concluded recruitment for the spring 2025 cycle… we received over 200 total applications across all of our departments!

new staffers will be onboarded this week, attending staff trainings.

For those that don’t have the dates marked down (or if you’re a new staffer), be sure to attend ONE of these times below!

Feb. 3rd 7-8:30

Feb. 6th 7-8:30

Feb. 7th 3:30-5

All trainings will be held at the DP’s office, located at 4015 Walnut Street (pictured here as well).

Staffers of the week

The staffers of the week at Strategy & Promotions Manager Sophie-Anne Brouwers, 34th Street Strategy Deputy Manager Jack Galbraith, and Advocacy Beat reporter Daniya Siddiqui!

Sophie-Anne and Jack totally killed it with our recruitment efforts. It’s no easy feat to get over 200 applications, especially during the spring recruitment cycle. There were also a record number of applications for many of our departments in the spring cycle.

Daniya covered two union rallies this past week, one on Tuesday and the other on Thursday.

DP SPorts

Our friends from DPOSTM took a trip to Brown and Yale this past weekend, covering women’s basketball games. Special shoutout to Valeri Guevarra for running quarterback on this one and driving the team to Providence and back. Photos from their trip are above!
